INSIDE THE BLACK BOX OF AMERICA / OPENING THE 6 OF MAY
A black box is a recording device with the purpose of facilitating an investigation of occurrences.
A black box is collecting “input” from it’s surroundings. It’s inner components, orlogic, are not available for inspection and we can only experience the raw “output” of the box, and by that, create our own conclusions of what the box has been into contact with.
Filmmaker Martin Garde Abildgaard has created a dreamlike trip through Gods own country, recorded over a period of seven years, and now transmitted via film, music, photography and fashion.
Here we experience hacked recordings directly from Los Angeles Police Department, a diary from a confused teenager, interviews with 9/11 eyewitness, religious fanatics, colorful gun lowers, crazy comedians, echelon spookwords from NSA and much more.
The centre of the project is a 25min. long art film, shot on 16mm film. A visual poem, without dialogue or vocalized narration, which will send the audience on a ride into the Black Box o Afmerica.
